We had a wonderful field trip to Heritage Hills.   I saw more buildings and learned more things this year than even before.  Be sure to ask your child what they learned.  Unfortunately at the end of the day, Lena Elementary School accidentally took my box of souvenirs.  Heritage Hills has been in contact with the school and Heritage Hills has assured me that they will drive my souvenirs to Clovis Grove as soon as they get them back.  Heritage Hills realizes that their is a deadline of Friday morning.  I am truly sorry for any disappointments there are today about this.

Reminders for the end of the school year:

Thursday - We will be signing yearbooks or 4th grade memory books in the morning.
We will leave Clovis at 12:30 to walk to Tom's tomorrow.  Feel free to walk with us or join us at Tom's.  It usually takes us about 20 minutes to walk there.  After we return from Tom's, please join us for a kickball game, starting at approximately 2:15.  You do not need to have a Criminal Background Check to join us as you are not considered a chaperone.

Friday - End of the Year Celebration starting at 9:30
Early Dismissal at 12:00, report cards will be sent home.

Homework:

Tomorrow is the Heritage Hills Field Trip.  There is a 50% chance of rain and we will be spending time outside.  Please have your child dress for the weather.  If they have a Cougar Shirt, please have them wear it.,  If not, one will be provided for them.  Also, remember to pack a lunch for them, if you did not want to purchase one from the school.

Thursday - we will have yearbook signing in the morning.  If your child does not have a yearbook or want to bring it to school, each student was given a 4th grade memory book that they have been working on the past week.  There are 2 autograph pages in that book.

Walk to Tom's/Kickball - We will walk to Tom's at approximately 12:30.  Please feel free to join us - you do not need a Criminal Background check because you will not be a chaperone.  Kickball will start after we return from Tom's - approximately 2:15.

Friday - End of the Year Celebration starting at 9:30
Dismissal at 12:00
Report Cards will be sent home with your child

Thank you to everyone who donated something to the auction.  It was HUGE success.  I am not sure if I would have spent $1800 for a pack of Trident Gum, but it was nice that students had earned so much money displaying appropriate behavior and following the Cougar Code.

It is nice to be back at school and teaching again this week.

A note went home today regarding the pizza party acknowledgement.  If your child has any missing work, as of last night, there is a list of the assignments attached to the letter.  I will not know if they turned in Homework/Remembering 4-5, last night's homework, until I check work this evening.

We will begin using a computer program called Dreambox during Math workshop and PIE time.  Your child will need to bring headphones or earbuds that they can leave at school to use this program.  The sound is an important part of the program and it would be too confusing not to have volume.  Information will be sent home about Dreambox as students will be able to play to games from home.  We are hoping to fit in a short presentation about DreamBox during Math night.
