Tuesday is Pajama Day.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are tomorrow for the parents who received pink invitations.  If you have one scheduled tomorrow I wrote a reminder note in your child's agenda with the time you are scheduled for.

There is no school on Thursday and Friday.

After looking at a few assessments, as a whole there are challenges with prime numbers, composite numbers and factors.  One of the difficulties students are facing is that many aren't fluent with their multiplication facts.  Please practice flashcards with your child, especially on days they don't have any other math homework.  It will be a huge advantage for them.

Thank you to everyone who came to Math Night yesterday evening.  If you did not attend, your child will be bringing home a list of the family letters for the year.  This will inform you of the units for the year.

There is no school on Thursday or Friday.

Pajama Day is Tuesday.

We began using Google Classroom.  It is a computer based way for students to show their work.  The nice part is that if they are able to get into their school gmail account at home they can show you what they are working on.

Tomorrow is Packer Day.  If your child is not a Packer fan, it is fine for them to wear their favorite team.

Tomorrow is Math Night from 5:30 - 7:30.  You are still invited to come and can turn in your RSVP by tomorrow morning.

Our class has earned over 60 Cougar Paws.  We will have two acknowledgement days. Tuesday we will have Pajama Day.  For the second da,y students will be allowed to bring electronics to the Halloween Party.  If your child does not have an electronic on that day, they may use a Chrome book.

We have been learning strategies to multiply numbers by 10 and 100.  Please do NOT let your child say that it is just adding a zero.  Multiplying by 10 means that you have that many tens.  Multiplying by 100 means you have 100 sets of the number.  There is a quiz questions regarding this and if your child marks the choice that it is adding a 0, they will get that question incorrect.

Your child learned how to log in to the digital editions of Time for Kids.  I sent each student a link in their email and they each received their student name and password.  Everyone was able to log in at school.  If they are allowed to use devices at home, they should be able to log-in and read the magazines from home.  They just need to access their email and remember their log-in information.
