I hope that everyone has a relaxing and safe Spring Break.


March Reading minutes are due Monday, April 3.  Remember your child will receive an incentive package from the Timber Rattlers for turning in their reading minutes on time.  If you lost the calendar, please just jot a note in your child's agenda that they read their 400 minutes for March.


We are Forward Testing on Tuesday morning and Thursday morning when we return from break.

Math - practice flashcards.  We have begun to work with fractions with unlike denominators and the students who know their multiplication facts with accuracy are having an easier time.  Those that are not fluent with their facts are finding this to be challenging.

Information went home today regarding the state  Forward Test.  We will begin testing next Wednesday morning.  Please note the dates of all the tests.  Students do much better on the test if they are able to take the test with the class instead of doing make-ups.

Even though tomorrow is Tuesday we will follow a Wednesday schedule.  This means that we will have Music and Phy Ed instead of Art.  On Wednesday we will follow the Tuesday schedule and have Art.  This flip flop of days is to even out missed specials because of Early Dismissal Wednesdays.


I will be gone tomorrow so there will not be a blog.


If your child does not have headphones/ear buds at school, please make sure they have some ASAP.  They will need these for the Forward Exam, which we have begun practicing for.  Those without headphones/ear buds are unable to test out the feature of the computer reading to them to see if they like it for the actual test.

Wednesday is an Early Dismissal Day.


I will be gone on Tuesday so there will not be a blog.
We have begun practicing for the Wisconsin Forward Exam.  This is the state test.  It is necessary for your child to have headphones or earbuds, even those from the Dollar Tree will work fine.  Students have the option of having the computer read some of the test to them, but they must practice this with headphones/earbuds to see if this option works for them.  Also there is a portion of the Reading test that is just listening and they can not take this portion without headphones/earbuds.  Please make sure that your child has headphones/earbuds at school, by Monday, if at all possible.
