Anyone who ordered school pictures they went home today.

We started spelling. Your child should study their words nightly. The Spellcasters and the Myth Busters will be doing sorts for their tests. Daily sorts will be due at the beginning of the morning on Friday. They will not be given time to work on them Friday, they are due when they walk in the door Friday morning. LCM and The Cougar Club will be doing a weekly packet that will be due each Friday. They will not be given time to complete the packets on Friday, the packets should be done as they enter the door Friday morning. Spelling lists are linked on my web page.

Today we filled our book boxes and began DEAR (Drop Everything and Read). Tomorrow we will begin Math. There will not be any Math homework until Tuesday. Please check my webpage after that for copies of the homework, if your child would ever forget to bring their worksheets home.

Wednesday, September 1

We had a wonderful start to Fourth grade. We spent much of the day learning the Cougar Code in the classroom and throughout the building.. Ask your child about the Cougar Paws they received. Hopefully someone in my room will be picked in tomorrow's raffle.

Your child brought home a reading log today. Please mark the number of minutes they read each evening, total the minutes at the end of the month, sign the sheet and return it October 1. here will be a log sent home each month. Your child is expected to read 400 minutes a month. If you misplace the log, another one can be found on my webpaeg or use the calendar in the agenda planner. A letter was sent home explaining how to get on to my webpage. You can access this from home or the Menasha Public Library has computers available for public use.

Please remember to sign your child's agenda for each day. We have discussed how it is your child's responsibility to have you sign it but a few reminders to get into the routine may be needed.
