I will be at a training on Monday so there will not be a blog.  We are very fortunate that Mr. Parker will be the substitute.  Many of you met Mr. Parker at Open House night.  Mr. Parker will be the intern in my classroom full-time starting after Winter Break.  This will be a great opportunity for the students.

We are learning about mapping in Social Studies.  Your child should be bringing home a Latitude and Longitude worksheet that we have worked on this week.

September Reading Minutes will be due on Tuesday.  Students who turn in their Reading Minute Calendar, signed by a parent/guardian and on time, will receive $500 Cougar Cash and a Pizza Hut Book-it Coupon for a free personal pan pizza.

Information is coming home today about Guidance.  It explains the new curriculum that is being used and gives you links to resources.  There is also a Home Link page that is being sent home.  This is more of a conversation starter and does not need to be returned to school.  We typically have Guidance on Tuesday, but had to make a schedule just for this week.

I sent home another packet of Beginning of the Year paperwork for those who still need to bring it in.  Remember those students who bring the paperwork back by Friday will receive an animal eraser incentive from me.  Thanks to the parents who have already had their child turn in those forms.

There are still a few bus students who need to bring back the green rules/procedures sheet. Please have your child return that sheet by tomorrow.

Today was another great day in Fourth Grade.  We are learning more about classroom routines, procedures and earning lots of Cougar Paws.

Thank you to those who have already filled out the Beginning of the Year paperwork - you received this at Open House or the first day of school in a large, yellow envelope.  There is important information that the school needs in order to keep our records updated.   Any child who returns the paper work by Friday will receive a special animal eraser from me.

If your child rides the bus they received information from Mrs. Richter yesterday.  The green sheet needs to be returned by Friday and the orange sheet can remain at home.  Mrs. Richter will have an acknowledgement for those who return the green sheet by Friday.

Tomorrow is Green and Gold Day, if your child would like to wear something with the color.  I have a few Bears fans who are going to support their team with those colors as well.

Welcome to Fourth Grade.  I was so excited to begin to get know each of my students as people and not just students.  I look forward to a great year.

Please take some time to look over the beginning of the year paperwork.  I know that a lot comes home the first day but it is important information to get your student off to a great start in 4th grade.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please email me at fritschs@mjsd.k12.wi.us   I do not look at the email or comments linked to this blog.  That email is for the sole purpose of being able to send out this blog.
