Happy Holidays to everyone.  School resumes on January 2.


An elf entered our room last night and made us solve puzzles and find clues in order to get gifts.  I hope your child had fun with this today.

December Reading Minutes will be due on January 2.  If your child misplaced their calendar you can print one from my webpage, write a note in their agenda that they read at least 400 minutes in December or send me an email.

Tomorrow is our Electronics Party.  If your child does not bring an electronic device, they may use a Chrome Book.

A note went home today regarding our Holiday Party on December 21.  The class voted to also have another Electronics Day for a class acknowledgement for 100 Class Cougar Paws.


A class picture was also sent home today.

Reader's Theater is a type of performance where students use their voices and gestures to play the part.  There are no props or costumes.  Students picked a part today.  Please have them begin to practice for our performance on Friday, December 21.  They will have about 20 minutes to practice a day in school as a group.

The Fourth Grade staff is asking each child to bring in $2 for a Holiday Surprise that they will be bringing home.  I suggested to my students that they ask if there was an extra chore they could do around the house to earn the money.

Word Work - We will take the District Spelling Assessment on Wednesday.  We then will begin a unit on Reader's Theater.  Reading Foundational Skills is part of the Fourth Grade Curriculum and Reader's Theater will help students with standards RF 4.3 and RF 4.4.  Students will pick their part either Wednesday or Thursday.
