I look forward to meeting parents today during conference time.  If I have not already met with you, your child wrote in yesterday's agenda the time I will meet with you today.

Remember that spelling will change after Spring Break.  Some groups will see significant changes and others will see slight changes.  To make spelling successful, nightly practice is very important.  It's all to help your child become a better speller, reader and writer.  We are getting ready for 5th grade and beyond.

Social Studies - poster due Friday.  Please check with your child to make sure that their poster is finished.  I was concerned with the number of unfinished posters I saw in class this morning.

Representative Penny Bernard Schaber came to visit our classroom today.

We are using data from the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament to learn about fractions, percents, decimals and probability.  We are also researching colleges and doing presentations.

Congratulations to all the Wisconsin Badgers fans on their win this afternoon. 

We began Junior Achievement today.  The class was very respectful to Mr. Rhodes as he taught us about businesses.  The program will run 4 or 5 more weeks.

We will be starting Junior Achievement tomorrow.  The curriculum teaches your child about the different resources available in each of the US Regions and how it effects businesses that are there.  It is a nice connection to Social Studies.
