February Reading Minutes are due tomorrow.

Tomorrow are the Olympic Games. There will be snow for the bob sledding event so please make sure that your child has snow pants, boots, and mittens so that they can participate.

I will be gone tomorrow so there will not be a blog.

Remember to bring in the fourth Fang next week so that I can reserve a Timber Rattlers ticket for your child.  They will not receive the ticket next week but the tickets should be here sometime around Spring Break.

WKCE test results went home today.  There are two letter explaining the changes to the test results and why these changes were implemented.  If you have any quetions we can discuss them at Parent/Teacher conferences or please feel free to contact me prior to the time.

If you have not already returned your Parent/Teacher conference slip, please do so ASAP.  I will be sending second notices home.

A note went home regarding our Olympic Games on Friday.  Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the Bobsledding event.

Today we made flashcards for the measurement systems that we have been learning about in Unit 5 in our math book.  There really is no other way to learn these systems then to memorize them.  Please work with your child to make sure they are confident and proficient.  We will be taking our unit test either Friday or Monday and in order for your child to do well, they must know these systems and how they are converted.
Thank you for your help.

Remember there is still time to turn in your first Fang.  I will accept them until Friday.  The first level of acknowledgement is a Happy Joe certificate and stickers.

A note went home today regarding our Valentine's Day Party.  That day is a half-day due to Teacher Inservice, so we will have a short party in the morning.

I hope that everyone is doing their best to stay warm.

From what I heard the Indian Tribe Project and presentations went very well in Social Studies class.

Most of the students have had an opportunity to see Demonstration Speeches in Mr. Viotto's class.  Those who haven't will get a chance to see them on Monday.  My class will also be doing Demonstration Speeches but I will wait until after Spring Break.  I will be getting a student teacher for the 4th quarter and I like for them to partipate in the teacher portion of the speeches.

January Reading Minutes need to be turned in on Monday, if they haven't already been turned in.  Also the Timber Rattlers incentive starts on Monday.
