There is a 60% chance of rain in Milwaukee tomorrow.  Please have your child dress for the weather.  Even with the roof closed for rain we will still need to walk from the bus.  Students may wear baseball shirts from any team instead of a Clovis Cougars shirt, if they would like.

Just a reminder that if you are interested in attending Clovis Family Night for the Timber Rattlers Game or just want your child to receive their free ticket voucher and hot dog/soda voucher the forms are due back on Monday.


We will be taking the Forward Test on Tuesday morning.  This will be the final Forward Test if your child was here for all previous testing days.  There will be a short testing break and then we will begin MAP testing sometime in May.

In Junior Achievement students ran a hot dog stand.  Ask your child if they had a profit or loss.


A list of Milwaukee Brewers polices were sent home today.  If you need any other information regarding Miller Park, please go to Brewers.com


We have Forward Testing tomorrow morning. Please make sure that your child is well-rested so that they can do their best.  The Forward Test will be taken on Tuesday next week.  This will be the last Forward Test if your child was in attendance for all the other testing days.


Tomorrow is Pajama Day and Electronics time.  If your child does not bring an electronic device, they may use a Chromebook.

We will be taking the Forward Test tomorrow morning.  Next week we will take it Tuesday morning and Thursday morning.


The Pre-Assessment for Unit 7 was sent home today.  We will take the Unit test next Friday.  We have not gotten to 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication so if you practice before next week, you might want to skip that section.  Also an example of the strategies will be on tomorrow's homework.  A copy of the pre-assessment is on my web page.

We have been doing well taking the Forward Test.  We have one test left this week - Thursday morning.


There is no school on Friday, April 14.


We are learning three different strategies to solve a multi-digit multiplication problem.  Yesterday we learned the Partial Products Strategy and today we learned the Standard Algorithm - this is the strategy that most of us use.  We have one more strategy , the Over Strategy, that students will practice tomorrow.

Reminder information was sent home today for the Brewers Game for students and chaperones who have not paid yet.  Please note that the deadline for payment is Friday.


Order forms for Clovis Grove Night at the Timber Rattlers game went home today.  If your child has earned a free ticket and you are not planning on attending the game on May 15, you must still send back the form indicating you would only like the free ticket for a different game.  If your child does not bring the form back by Monday, April 24 they will not receive any tickets or hot dog/soda vouchers.  If you have any questions, please email me at my school address.

Welcome Back from Spring Break.  I hope that everyone had a safe and relaxing break.


We are continuing with the Forward Test this week.  We will be testing Tuesday and Thursday morning.


Thank you to everyone who has already turned in their Brewers permission slips and money.  If you have not done so yet, I will send home another copy of the information tomorrow.  The permission slip, lunch form and money are due by Friday, April 7,  so that Mr. Viotto can pay for the tickets.
