Math - practice flashcards.  Now that we are doing multiplication - and will begin division tomorrow - the students who know their facts fluently have a much easier time with these operations.  Students who do not know their facts have a challenge being efficient and accurate on Math workbook pages, homework, checkpoints and assessments.

Social Studies - Wisconsin, Surrounding Land Forms and Water Quiz on Wednesday.  We took a practice quiz today so students will know which items were easy for them and which were tricky and need more concentration.

Parent/ Teacher Conferences will be held tomorrow for the pink invitations.  If your child has a conference scheduled tomorrow I wrote a reminder of the time in their agenda.  Conferences are limited to 20 minutes per student so that all teachers can keep on schedule.  Blue invitations will be on Monday.

Permission slips for the Madison Field Trip will be sent home tomorrow.  The trip is scheduled for Friday, December 13.  Each class will be allowed to take one chaperone.  Please remember you must have a Volunteer Background Check cleared to be a chaperone. The background check is good for 3 years.

Thursday is 80s Day for Spirit Week.

Thank you to the parents who have sent back the permission slip for the Avi field trip on Friday.  If your child has not brought back the slip, I have sent home a reminder slip for you.

Thank you also for the parents who sent back their Parent/Teacher Conference Invitation.  If you have not sent yours back, please do so ASAP.

We have begun Word Work groups.  Please check with your child so that you know which group they are in.  We will do Word Work on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Tuesday and Thursday will be working on Language Skills, as a classs.  There are 5 days of activities and the sixth day is the Word Work Test.  Today I began with the  Avengers Jump Force Group.  There test will be on October 20.  Each member of the group was given a sorting sheet and answer key to take home today so that they can practice at home.

Parent/Teacher Conference Invitations were sent home today.  Please look over the date and time and let me know ASAP if you can attend.

Thank you to those who have already turned in the permission slip to attend the Avi presentation at Menasha High School.  If you have not done so, please sign and return this form with your child ASAP. The presentation is Friday and every child must have a permission slip signed/returned to attend.

We have been given the opportunity to listen to the author, Avi, speak at Menasha High School on Friday.  Permission slips were sent home today.  For your child to attend, they must bring back the permission slip.

We had a practice intruder drill today.  Information came home with your child from Mrs. Richter.

Tuesday is Mismatch Day for Spirit Week.

If you have not already turned in your blue ticket form, and would like free tickets for your family to Friday's Bluejay Football Game you must turn in that form by Wednesday.  There are NO free tickets at the game.
