I hope that everyone had a relaxing and fun vacation.

On Tuesday, December 15 the Fourth Grade will hold a Geography Bee. Students will be asked questions from the following categories: States, US Cities, Odd Items Out (Misc. items such as rivers, mountains, etc.), Continents, Foreign Countries, US Historical Geography, Cultural Geography. The top ten finishers will compete against each other a few weeks later for the first place medal and a chance to take a test for the state competition. Students were given the opportunity to take home a Regions book to begin studying, if they chose.

Our feast was a success. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help and brought in food. Many students may not be very hungry this evening as I saw full plates and seconds, thirds and more of helpings.

Tomorrow is our feast. Please have your child bring the item they are donating to class with them. If they would like something to drink have them bring that. No soda please. Also, if they have not already paid their $1 please have your child pay tomorrow.

Because of the short week, there will not be Spelling

Language Arts - 5 to 7 sentence paragraph about their famous person. They may use their biography worksheet to help them with this.

Thank you also to those who have sent in $4 for the Grignon Mansion. We are still waiting to receive money from everyone so that we can save our date. Please send in the money if you have not already done so.

Day one of testing went well. We will have another full day of testing tomorrow. Thank you again to everyone who supplied something for the testing snack. It was a tasty treat during testing.

WKCE testing begins tomorrow. We have practiced a Math and Reading test to get acquainted with the testing process. Please have your child get plenty of sleep this week and eat a good breakfast so that they can TEST BEST. Homework will be light this week due to testing.
