I sent home examples of the multiplication strategies that we have been using at school to solve problems.  This is your copy to keep at home, in case questions arise during homework time.


Forward Testing went well today.  Donations for a class snack are still being accepted, if your child is able to bring something.

Tomorrow we start Forward Testing.  A test schedule has been sent home with your child today.  We will be testing on Tuesday, Wednesday and twice on Thursday.  We would like to have a class snack to give the students something special during testing.  Donations of Cheerios, Chex, Goldfish, plain M&M's, raisins, pretzels, etc are appreciated. The special snack will happen as long as we have food to share.

Language - Study for Prefix Quiz on Friday.  Students were given a study guide today to take home. They must get a proficient on the quiz or they will retake it until they do.

Forward Testing will start Tuesday morning.  A letter will be coming home on Monday with all the Forward Testing dates for my class.  We try to have a group snack to give students something a little special for testing.  If you would like to donate Cheerios, Chex, marshmallows, raisins, M&Ms, etc. for the snack mixture, it would be greatly appreciated.  Please remember that there is a peanut allergy in class.

Your child will need headphones or ear buds by Wednesday so that they can practice the Listening portion of the Forward Test.  We will begin the Forward Test on Tuesday, March 20.

Notes went home today for the Human Growth and Development Talk that will take place next week.  Please read over the note and return it with your option for your child to attend or for your child not to attend the talk.  All the 4th grade boys will go to Mr. Viotto's room and all the 4th grade girls will go to Mrs. Borowski's room for the presentation.

Thursday is an Early Release Day.  Bag lunches will be available if you would like to purchase one.  You can also send a lunch to school for your child to eat.


Please make sure that your child has headphones or ear buds at school before Wednesday.  We will be practicing the listening portion of the Forward Test - the State Test -  and they MUST have headphones/ear buds to do this.  They will also need these when we take the actual Forward Test.


I had a meeting during Math time today, so the Unit 5 test will be given on Friday.  This will give your child more time to practice and study.
