Students were reminded of the Winter Clothing rules today.

1.  You must wear a coat when you are outside during the winter.  Jackets are not to be removed until you get back to your coat hook.
2.  If you want to play in the snow, you must wear snow pants and boots.
3. If the blacktop is snowy or slushy, you must wear boots.  If you do not have your boots and the blacktop is snowy and slushy, you will not be allowed to run around during recess.  You will need to stay near the wall.
4. There is no sliding on the ice and of course no snowball throwing.

If students do not have the clothing that is needed, the lost and found is not an option for obtaining what they need.

If you have any questions regarding these rules, please let me know.

Students have been working hard to earn Cougar Paws for a chance to participate in a special Acknowledgement in January.  The Wisconsin Herd, a minor league team for the Milwaukee Bucks, has graciously invited Clovis Grove Elementary to Education Day on January 24.  10 lucky students from each grade level will be picked, via a raffle, to earn a chance to go.  There will be a basketball game held at 11:00, so we will be back in time for dismissal.  The Wisconsin Herd has donated the tickets and a lunch for each student who wins.  Names will be drawn on January 17 and permission slips will be given out on that day for the lucky winners.  I will be chaperoning the Acknowledgement so I hope many students in my room are picked.
