I am sorry that there was not a blog on Monday or Tuesday.  Unfortunately I was sick on those days.


Family Chains went home today.  Your child should have 25 links.  If you begin the chain tomorrow the last link should be used on Christmas morning.

Tomorrow is our movie celebration for our 100 Classroom Cougar Paws.  Your child may bring a drink and snack for themselves, if the wish, to enjoy during Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.


Along with the math homework I sent home a geoboard resource.  This resource is marked off into fractions so that your child can easily identify the amount of space for the garden.

Home/Connections page 55 - 56.  We worked on some of this as a class.  The only problems that should be left are 4a and 4b from page 1 and problem 1 on side 2.


Many students are having difficulty using the egg cartons to find equivalent fractions.  I am re-teaching that each day until more students are proficient with the concept.

The results of the Wisconsin School  Report Cards have been released to the public.  Here is the link where you can compare Clovis Grove with other schools in the district and state.  We did an amazing job.  I am so proud of how hard all the students worked last year to achieve this remarkable ranking.

Everyone did a fantastic job for the Veteran's Day Assembly.  Everyone was respectful and there were many comments on how lovely the ceremony was.


Mr. Richer brought many items from his time in Afghanistan to school today. We were able to see an enormous flag that flew over Afghanistan.

In Math today we practiced with rectangle to find areas and dimensions.  We also worked with ratio tables and prime/composite numbers.  If you need additional copies of the Unit 2 Pre-Assessment to practice this weekend, I have a copy on my web page.


There is No School on Tuesday because our school is a polling station for elections.


A copy of one of our math games was sent home today.  Challenge your child to a round of Moolah on my Mind.

We will be taking the Unit 2 Assessment in Math on Monday.  Today I sent home the pre-assessment your child took at the beginning of the unit and a blank copy of the pre-assessment.  Students were asked to us these to practice for the Assessment on Monday.  A copy of the pre-assessment is also available on my web page.


It has been a busy week with Halloween so I will give students until Thursday to turn in their October Reading Minutes to receive an acknowledgment.
