Remember that Monday begins the new security policy in the school district.  Information went home yesterday about the procedures and what you can expect.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to be a chaperone for the Milwaukee Brewers Game.  Unfortunately we had more requests that I was allotted so there needs to be a waiting list.  Letters went home today to inform parents if they were chosen to be a chaperone or put on the waiting list.

Information went home today regarding the Milwaukee Brewers Field Trip.  This is  a popular trip for parents to chaperone.  In the past years, there has always been a raffle to choose chaperones.  Remember to be a chaperone you MUST have a criminal background check cleared by the district.  This usually takes two weeks.  You must have a criminal background check each school year.  If you need a form, please have your child ask me for one.

I received the Timber Rattler tickets after school today.  I will hand them out tomorrow for those students who earned them through the Reading Incentive Program earlier this year.

Spelling - study for test
Practice test putting words in sorting columns.  Students will receive 1 point for each word spelled correctly and a point if the correctly spelled word is placed in the correct sorting column.  Students will not receive any points if the word is spelled incorrectly.

Math - study flashcards.  Students who do not know their facts are having a difficult time with reducing fractions.

Information went home today regarding our Field Trip to Heritage Hills in Green Bay.  We need to pay for this trip ASAP so we don't lose our spot as this is a very popular place to visit.  Remember if you would like your name entered into the chaperone raffle, you MUST have a Criminal Background Check cleared through the office.  This takes about two weeks to process.  If you need a Criminal Background Check form, please let me know.

A note went home today regarding Math night on April 16.  I hope that you are able to attend.

Information went home today regarding the Human Growth and Development talk scheduled for April 11.  The sheet only needs to be brought back if you do NOT want your child to particapate in the discussion.

We are starting our new spelling program this week.  Each student has the nightly home spelling sorts stapled in their agendas.  This was the same information given out at Parent/Teacher conferences.  Most groups will not have spelling packs, so it is very important that they do the nightly sorts at home to be successful in spelling.  The groups who will continue with spelling packs will be tested on their sorting words, NOT on the pack words.
