It was a wonderful and exciting day in Fourth Grade.  We got to learn a little bit more about each other and learned/reviewed the Cougar Code throughout the building and within the classroom.  I handed out many, many, many individual and classroom Cougar Paws.  There was a considerable amount of information sent home, so please check take home folders and backpacks.

Homework:

Reading - read 20 minutes - please mark the minutes read on the September Calendar sent home today.

Language Arts - some students decided to take home their "All About Me" poster to work on.  Others have decided to work on it with the time allowed at school.  These will be used when your child is Star of the Week.

Math - study flashcards - these should be kept at home for nightly practice
Parrot Coloring Picture - this has been linked to my webpage if your child forgot to bring it home.

Headphones - Mr. Kehring, the district Technology Coach, will be coming in tomorrow to teach the students about a program called "Read and Write Google."  Tomorrow he will be focusing on the reading portion.  In order for your child to hear the computer read an article to them, they must have headphones.

Please remember to look at the top of the left margin of my blog to sign up for e-mail notification of these blogs.  It is a free service that will send this blog directly to your email instead of you having to check this page daily.
