We watched videos of demonstration speeches today so your child has an idea of what they are expected to do. They were told that they need to practice, practice, practice. Practice in front of parents, siblings, pets, stuffed animals or even in front of a mirror. They all will be nervous but those who practice have the easiest time in front of the class.
For the City Wide Track Meet they are trying something different this year. We will be eating lunch at Calder Stadium. If you would like your child to have the school make them a Lunch to Go, please fill out the form that was sent home today and return it by Thursday, March 17. These lunches will be delivered to Calder. Otherwise, your child can bring their own lunch that day.

Tuesday, May 15 - MAP Reading test in the afternoon
Wednesday, May 16 - No School, Staff Development
Thursday, May 17 - MAP Math test in the afternoon.
Friday - Heritage Hill permission slip, money and lunch forms due.

Reading - read 20 minutes
Writing - Have a demonstration speech topic picked out for tomorrow
